Dode Speaks ‘On Democracy Under Pressure’ At DOPF Conference October 21

POLITICAL scientist, scholar and public policy expert, Prof. Robert Oghenedoro Dode, will be Guest Lecturer at this year’s Annual Conference and 6th Lecture Series of the Delta Online Publishers Forum (DOPF), scheduled for Wednesday, October 21, at David’s Event Centre in GRA, Asaba.

    Dode will deliver the keynote lecture on, ‘Democracy Under Pressure: Electoral Integrity, Security Challenges and Media Accountability in Nigeria.’

    He will bring his extensive academic experience and expertise in governance, electoral politics, public administration, security and strategic affairs to bear on some of the pressing challenges confronting Nigeria’s democratic governance.

    The lecture is expected to examine the state of Nigeria’s democratic institutions, imperative of credible and transparent electoral processes, emerging security concerns and critical responsibility of the media in promoting accountability, transparency and good governance.
    Dode, a professor of Political Science and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academics), Dennis Osadebay University (DOU), Asaba, has distinguished himself in teaching, research, mentorship and institutional leadership.

    He has served as Head of Department (HoD), Dean of Faculty, Director of the School of Lifelong Education and Chairman of several strategic university committees.
