THE vice presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has dragged the Founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Elijah Ayodele, to court over his alleged defamatory remarks.
In a letter shared on X by his legal team, Magaji Mato Ibrahim, SAN & Co., the former Kano State governor demanded an immediate retraction and apology from the cleric over the allegations.
This followed a viral video recorded during a live-streamed church service, where the cleric warned Obi that Kwankwaso would negatively affect his presidential ambition.
The legal team quoted the cleric as stating: “Kwankwaso is a fake to Obi, Kwankwaso will betray you. Kwankwaso has been paid to be vice president to Obi, among other libellous comments, while pretending to be a preacher.”
