THE Nigeria Police has granted administrative bail to the suspended Adamawa State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Hudu Yunusa-Ari.

  Recall that Yunusa-Ari was arrested by the Police over his illegal declaration of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate as winner of the state supplementary governorship election.

He was later arrested by the Police Election Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Team on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 in Abuja.

Yunusa-Ari was granted administrative bail after interrogation to ascertain the motives and motivations behind his unconstitutional actions during the supplementary election.

According to the Force Public Relations Officer, Force Headquarters, Abuja, Olumuyiwa Adejobi:  “He is expected to report at the Police headquarters every weekday, while investigations are ongoing on the matter.”

   Other officers of security agencies, officials and individuals linked to the action were also interrogated by the Police team.
