Wike Says PDP Only Opposition Party Challenging APC 

THE Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) remained the only viable opposition party in Nigeria at the moment.

    The immediate past governor of Rivers State, and a member of the PDP serving in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) federal government, stated this while reacting to the outcome of last Saturday by-elections in six states.

    The PDP won the senatorial by-election in Rivers State, while the APC won five seats in the other states.

    Wike, speaking during the commissioning of a project in Abuja on Monday, June 22, where Vice President, Kashim Shettima, represented President Bola Tinubu, insisted: "Opposition is not about talking; it's about challenging the ruling party, and we are the only party doing so."
