THE Vatican, on Monday, April 28, announced that the Conclave to replace Pope Francis will begin Wednesday, May 7.
Following his burial on Saturday, April 26, the Cardinals are expected to convene at the Vatican to begin the process of selecting the Catholic Church’s 267th leader.
Francis was selected after Pope Benedict XVI, stepped down, the first time any Pope had stepped down from the Papacy in nearly six centuries, citing age and faltering health.
