UNICAL Expels C’River Speaker, 565 Other Students Over Poor CGPA

AUTHORITIES of the University of Calabar (UNICAL) has withdrawn a total of 566 students, including Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Mr. Elvert Ayambem Ekom, over poor Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).

The decision, which affected Ekom, member representing Ikom 11 State Constituency in the state Assembly, and other students, cut across 100 to 400 levels, 15 faculties and departments.
