THE Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen. Olufemi Oloyede, and Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt-Gen Waidu Shaibu, arrived in Maiduguri on Wednesday, March 18, following the directive of President Bola Tinubu after multiple explosions in the Borno State capital on Monday night, March 16.
At least 23 persons were killed and 108 injured when suspected suicide bombing detonated their Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) there were wearing.
Themilitary chiefs were received by the Theatre Commander of Operation Hadin Kai and other top military officials.
