SUSPECTED terrorists, in the early hours of Friday, October 18, at Dan Auta village, killed two persons, including an operative attached to the Katsina State Government-owned security outfit, Community Watch Corps (KSCWC), in Sabuwa Local Council of the state.
The attackers also saw abducted 13 persons, including women and children.
It was gathered that one of the abducted victims include the chairman of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in the area, simply identified as Alhaji Imamu.
In addition to killed, it was learned that about six other people sustained injuries and were receiving treatment at the primary healthcare center in the area.
The terrorists, who stormed the community in their numbers, riding on motorcycles and wielding automatic rifles, reportedly met some resistance from members of the KSCWC and local vigilante groups in the area, but their large number overwhelmed the resistance.
While the security operative lost his life trying to protect the community from the attack, the second deceased was said to have been shot after resisting abduction.
