PDP Crisis: Wike, Team Pull Out Of Atiku Campaign Council Over Ayu

THE crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), following the outcome of its presidential primary, continued on Wednesday, September 21, when Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and his team of supporters pulled out of the party’s presidential campaign council.

This followed a meeting held early on Wednesday morning in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, to take a common ground between the council and the team, who at the end, vowed not to play any role in Atiku’s campaign ahead of next year’s general elections until the party’s National Chairman, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu, resigns.

Wike had called for Ayu’s resignation following the outcome of the party’s presidential primary won by Atiku to pave way for a southern for the sake of fairness and equity.
