Okuama Killings: Tinubu, Oborevwori Meet In Aso Villa

*Says Community Deserted

IN continuation of his search for a lasting solution to the after effect of the killing of 17 soldiers in Okuama, Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, on Tuesday, March 19, visited the Presidential Villa, Abuja, to briefed President Bola Tinubu on the development.

   Speaking to journalists after the closed-doors meeting with the President, Oborevwori said the situation was under control, assuring that there would be no further attacks in the area.

   The governor, however, did not give details of his findings during his visit to the deserted community on Monday, March 18, especially regarding reports reprisal attacks allegedly carried out by the military and the number of casualties, saying as a security matter, he could not say certain things in the public.

He said he had met with the security heads in Bomadi on Monday, but has been unable to meet with the community and its leaders, because the place has been deserted.
