DELTA State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has congratulated the Founder of Zenith Bank Plc, Jim Ovia, on his 75th birthday, describing him as a visionary entrepreneur whose contributions have helped shape Nigeria’s banking industry.
Oborevwori lauded the Agbor-born businessman for his outstanding role in transforming Nigeria’s financial sector through innovation, sound leadership and commitment to excellence.
The governor, in a congratulatory message by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, also acknowledged Ovia’s contributions beyond banking, particularly his investments in education, entrepreneurship and security, as well as his efforts to empower young people through philanthropy.
Oborevwori said Ovia’s remarkable career and achievements have brought honour to Delta State and Nigeria, while inspiring generations of entrepreneurs and professionals.
He stated further described Ovia as a quintessential entrepreneur whose foresight and leadership have not only transformed Nigeria’s banking sector, but also empowered countless individuals and institutions, and a worthy ambassador of Delta State, whose commitment to building enduring institutions and creating opportunities for others remains commendable.
The governor joined Ovia’s family, friends and associates in celebrating the milestone, praying that God blesses him with good health, long life and continued wisdom to contribute to the growth and development of the country.
