THE Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has declared that there was no imminent plan to increase in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), otherwise known as petrol.
NNPC’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Mr. Olufemi Soneye, in a statement on Thursday, February 7, urged Nigerians to disregard unfounded rumours of imminent hike in the cost of the product, assuring the general public that there were no such plan.
“Motorists nationwide are advised against engaging in panic buying, as there is presently ample availability of PMS across the country,” he stated.
