THE National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has launched an official self-service modification portal- Selfservicemodification.nimc.gov.ng- to ensure the security and integrity of National Identification Number (NIN) data.
The new portal allows users to securely update their NIN details from anywhere, ensuring convenience and data protection, without the involvement of a third party.
NIMC, in a press release signed by its Head of Corporate Communications, Dr. Kayode Adegoke, warned against using unauthorised websites for NIN modifications, due to risks of identity theft, urging Nigerians to visit only the official portal- www.nimc.gov.ng, send an email to nimcustomercare@nimc.gov.ng or call 070022556462- and avoid third-party sites.
