THE deposed 15th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has extended an invitation to district heads to attend the traditional Durbar event in commemoration of Sallah.
An announcement in a circular signed by Alhaji Abbas Sanusi, Galadiman Kano, a senior councilor of the emirate, on Tuesday, June 11, dated June 10, directed all district heads within the emirate to bring their village heads, horse riders and praise singers to the festivities scheduled to hold at Aminu Ado Bayero’s palace at Gidan Nassarawa, on Saturday, Zhulhijjah 9, 1445 (equivalent to June 15) at 11 a.m.
While emphasised the importance of promptness and compliance with the directive, it added that any delay or insubordination would not be tolerated.
