I Enjoyed My Break In UK, Says Tinubu
THE residential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in next year’s general elections, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has said his trip to the United Kingdom (UK) was very good and that he enjoyed it.
Tinubu, in a statement in Abuja shortly after he alighted from his private jet to a rousing welcome and jubilation from his supporters and some members of his presidential campaign council, said he was back to help Nigerians, stressing that he felt better after enjoying his 11 days vacation in London.
Amid shouts of Jagaban and City Boy, Tinubu, in a brief chat with journalists, expressed readiness for the political campaign ahead of the elections, adding: “The trip was very good. I enjoyed my break and I’m happy to be back to my fatherland.
“Nigerians should expect a very intelligent ability to think and perform. Nigerians should expect that the help they needed is here, the hope that is almost jittering is back and back actively.
“We hold every effort to the country of patriotism, dedication, capacity and ability to do the job. Not negative thinking, not the fact that Nigeria has failed; this country is the greatest. If it is to rebuild, we are builders; if it is construction, we are constructors. If it is assurance, we give Nigerians the assurance that we definitely make a better country out of it all.”
On hand to received him at the airport by his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima; Director General of the APC presidential campaign council, Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State; his deputy and former national chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, and other APC chieftains.
