Gunmen Kill Three Policemen, One FRSC Official In Enugu Attack

GUNMEN have reportedly killed three Police officers and one Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) personnel in different attacks in Nsukka and Udenu Local Councils of Enugu State, respectively.

The gunmen attacked a Police division in Umabor Eha-Alumona in Nsukka on Saturday night, killing two policemen, and killed the FRSC personnel and a Police officer attached to the traditional ruler of Egali Amalla Community in Orba, Udenu, HRH Igwe Patrick Eze, also known as Igwe Waziri, who managed to escape unhurt.

The attackers burnt an FRSC van during the incident.

     The killings came less than 24 hours after two Police officers on duty were murdered within Enugu metropolis, prompting Governor Peter Mbah to place a N10million bounty on the culprits.

The governor vowed to ensure the attackers were apprehended.
