Group Inaugurates Coordinators To Deliver Atiku/Okowa In South- South

Published:

AHEAD of next year’s general elections, the South-South zonal office of Atiku Support Organisation (ASO) has unveiled a 19-member state and 25 local government coordinators to stir support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
The ceremony in Asaba, the Delta State capital, authorised by ASO’s Director General, Alhaji Abubakar Babawo, was to ensure massive grassroots mobilisation and education of voters in the state on what the Atiku/Okowa ticket represents for a united and better Nigeria.
The Zonal Coordinator, Dr. Nkechi Enumah-Chukura, while inaugurating Samuel Askia Jnr. and his state executive, congratulated Atiku on his victory at the PDP presidential primary and Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on his choice as running mate.

She charged the coordinators to carry leaders of the party, women and youths groups along and ensure they have their voter’s card, adding: “As ASO ambassadors, the success and failure of our main goal to Aso Rock lies squarely on all of us.

“We are encouraging you to be at your best and justify this responsibility by ensuring that our women, youth groups and associations are genuinely carried along, so they can understand your intents.”
Enumah-Chukura, a former chairman of Ndokwa East Local Council of the state, urged them not to be scared of any kind of intimidation, but remain respectful, humble and firm to ensure Atiku’s ideals are properly taken to the grassroots.
Askia Jnr., in his remarks, expressed appreciation to all members present for their commitments so far, saying it is a journey that has started and believes that they own the project.
He recalled the Atiku’s glorious journey into politics, assuring that a landslide victory awaits the PDP candidate.
