COMMISSIONER of Police (CP), Samuel Etaifo Erale, has assumed duty as the 25th Commissioner of Police in charge of the Delta State Police Command.
A statement by the Command’s spokesman, Bright Edafe (SP), said Erale succeeded Yemi John Oyeniyi.
Erale, who was deployed to Osun State to take charge of the August 15 governorship election, was born on March 2, 1968, at Pedro Police Barracks, Shomolu, Lagos State and hails from Owan East Local Council of Edo State.
He holds a first degree in Political Science from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1992) and was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in 1994 as a member of Course 18 Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police.
He has served in various capacities across operational, administrative and command responsibilities, providing him with extensive experience across different areas of policing, including Kogi State, where he started his career.
