KANO State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has cautioned his former godfather, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, against unguarded utterances, vowing to “open a Pandora’s box” if he continues to speak carelessly about him.
An enraged Yusuf, while adressing a crowd in a viral online video clip, said: “Tell them, that they are talking too much, enough is enough, if they don’t stop, I will open my mouth and it will smell like hell.
“I wonder why a 69-year-old person will continuously be calling a 63-year-old a boy. This is unacceptable. I tolerated that because of obedience.
“If he doesn’t keep quiet and control his words, I will start saying things he wouldn’t like. I believe peace and stability in Kano State are paramount, but if we’re pushed too far, we will speak out.”
He was reacting to Kwankwaso’s statement during an interview in which the former New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) leader accused him of betrayal and vowed to defeat him in next year’s governorship election.
The relationship between the hitherto political godfather and son went sour since the governor’s defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
