Emirship Tussle: Kano Dep Gov Apologises To Ribadu Over Outburst

Published:

THE Deputy Governor of Kano State, Aminu Abdussalam, has publicly apologised to the National Security Adviser (NSA) to President Bola Tinubu, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, over his recent outburst regarding the current tussle over the Kano emirship.

Recall that Abdussalam had accused Ribadu of aiding the return of the deposed emir, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, by providing him security cover to enter the city, despite his ouster.

But the deputy governor, on Monday, May 27,  issued an apology while providing updates to the press about the latest developments concerning the dispute from the government’s perspective.

Abdussalam said the state government initially received incorrect information, but later, upon thorough investigation, concluded that the NSA was not linked to the crisis.
