Emirship: Sanusi Supported, Encouraged Tyranny In Kaduna, Says Sani

Published:

HUMAN rights activist and a former senator, Shehu Sani, has lamented that reinstated Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, of supporting tyranny in Kaduna State under former governor, Nasir el-Rufai.

In a post on his X handle, on Monday, May 27, Sani said Sanusi, who many see as a victim of tyranny in Kano under former governor, Abdullahu Ganduje, identified with and supported the same kind of government in Kaduna State.

He wrote: “Lamido fought against tyranny in Kano State, became a victim of tyranny in Kano State and supported, identified with and encouraged our own tyranny in Kaduna State”.

Recall that Sanusi was dethroned in March 2020 by Ganduje, but was immediately appointed as vice chairman of the Kaduna Investment Promotion Agency board, and also the chancellor of the Kaduna State University by el-Rufai.
