Delta CP Solicits Collaboration With Brigade Commander, DSS Director

AS part of efforts to foster inter-agency cooperation and collaboration among security agencies in the state, the new Commissioner of Police in charge of the Delta State Command, Mr. Abaniwonda Olufemi, on Tuesday, February 27, paid a courtesy call on the Commander of 63 Brigade, Brig-Gen. Ugochukwu V. Unachukwu at its headquarters in Asaba, where he was warmly received by the Commander and staff officers of the Brigade.

   In his remark, Olufemi stressed the importance of such visits among critical stakeholder in the fight against crime and criminality in the state and solicited the support, collaboration and partnership of the Brigade in that regard.

   In his response, the Brigade Commander appreciated the Police chief and his management team for the visit, promising a formidable partnership with the Command as partners in progress, especially in the fight against crime and criminality.

   According to the Command’s spokesman, Mr. Bright Edafe, Olufemi had earlier visited the State Director of the Department of State Service (DSS), Mr. Ademola C. Adebiyi, where he also sought his collaboration in the fight against criminal elements, especially in the area of intelligence.

Adebiyi, who received the Police commissioner and members of his management team, promised to synergise with the Command.

He recalled that the Command has been having a cordial working relationship with DSS in the state, promising to extend the same gesture to the Command under Olufemi’s leadership.
