Alhaja Rafiat Moninuola Saka, a consultant with Century 21 Freedom Group (C21FG), spoke to DEBO OLADIMEJI on what the new economy business is all about and why it should be the first contacted for people wanting to be connectors in the multi-level marketing networking.
What is this new economy or business all about?
I am a consultant with C21FG Group and also a cosmetologist and an entrepreneur. I love doing business in general.
I found a wonderful opportunity to join the networking business (new economy business) of recent and it is really making a positive impacts in my life and in the lives of people around me. And I would like people to take the business serious and contact me, so that I can put them through with what to do and how to go about it.
It is a business that is profitable and not a business they should be afraid of. It is a business that is financially risk free, because when you come into the business, you pick a package of your choice. We have the one of N49,990, N79,990, N150,000, N250,000, N500,000 and so on up to a million naira. The bigger the package, definitely the bigger your profit.
After picking a package, you are given a set of health physical products, which have so many things in them .We have a product for protecting you from different types of gadgets that we are all using. You can stick it on your phone, your microwave, your television, etc. It is called energy diffuser.
We also have care leaf pouch, which is like a pouch you place on the affected areas of your body where you are having pains. They have supplement and so many products, such as toothpastes.
When you pick a package, you are given those products that worth your package and even more. With these packages, you have collected your money back indirectly, because the company is looking for a way to get their products to the final users, without the use of the middle men.
So, while you are in the business, you represent the middle men, the sales men and all that, but we don’t sell the products. You are just to get connected to the company, they give you your package and you connect somebody else to it and you enjoy your healthy products and you also impact lives, because the vision and the mission of the company is very easy.
All they want is a simple way of helping one another, because all of us we make use of the connected economy, but we don’t know. For instance, let us say I have a tailor and the tailor is very good in sewing, what does she do? The tailor will sew a very fine dress for me and a friend of mine will see that dress on me and say, ‘oh, Alhaja, your dress is so beautiful. Who sew it for you?’ I will just give her the tailor’s number. I have connected her to the tailor.
The tailor might not even know that I am the one that connected my friend to her. She might not even thank me, except if she asks, and I don’t think she will give me any commission.
In the connected economy, you connect people, your friends, your neighbours and even your enemies, because when you are doing well and your neighbour is not doing well, there is always a problem If you are doing well in a business, you shouldn’t just enjoy the benefits of the business alone; you should also connect it to other people, so that they can be helped.
The vision of the business is as simple as anything: To raise a financially free people, who will in turn raise other financially free people, who will collectively use their resources to affect the world positively. Isn’t that beautiful?
But they also have their mission to raise N50,000 monthly millionaire in the connected economy and usher in the next generation world changers. When you are looking for a business, there are certain things you should look at- the vision and the mission of the company, what kind of products they offer and if these will benefit you.
You should also look at their ways of communication. Are they ready to help you when you join the company?
This company is ready to help you at all cost to succeed. Our three cardinal points are- we put God first in the business; you must be willing to be trained, not that you feel too big to be trained, because in our business, we have lots of young ladies and men who have climbed to the top of leadership brand, but you might be older than them, but if you are ready to put your shoulders down, they will put you through. Even when you are not ready to put your shoulders down, they will still put you through, because it is their duties as leaders to put you through in the business, to make the business easy for you, to teach you how to go about it and to be successful in the business.
The third point is that you need to also be willing to train others (we called it train the trainers), because after they have trained you, you also have to be willing to train others, so that the community can grow bigger and people can be happy and be successful in the business.
When we are in a community where everybody is hungry-looking for one thing or the other to do and we have this type of opportunity, I don’t know what people are waiting for. They should key into this opportunity, because with as little as N50,000, you can be a member of this community. This business is financially risk-free; because of our wonderful products we give, you full the values of the package you go for.
After you have collected your package, don’t you think that you have collected your money, because any other money you are receiving is just commission based on the connector’s assignments that you are being given. So, when you connect, you get commission and the commission you get in this business is so good.

We are making life easier. As we all know, is not even easy to buy a plot of land now, not to talk of building a house, but this company is giving us sweet opportunities with as little as N50,000, you can have all these packages.

I have told people that they should stop complaining that the economy is hard, Buhari time was not good, Tinubu’s time is harder. We should all stop complaining, stop asking for what the country can offer us, let us ask ourselves what can we also offer the country.
We all want to collect, what are we also willing to give? Part of my ways of giving back to society is by joining this beautiful initiative. Some months ago, we had the fuel palliative. It was a wonderful initiative by our president, Ambassador Michael Okoli, who was the one that God gave that vision for this company in Nigeria.
The company has up to six offices in Lagos, as well as Kaduna, Jos, Owerri, Port Harcourt and up to 50 offices in Abuja alone, apart from our head office is in Abuja. I will like every one of us to take the opportunity in this business, especially youths.
Even in this business, you can find a 70-year-old woman; nobody is too old to make money. If you know that you don’t have any means of taking care of yourself, try your possible best to borrow money and be part of the business, because it is worth it.

As I said, we do not sell products, but we are giving product for the value of the money you paid to join the company. So, what else are you looking for? In fact, I just took one of their supplements, because I was having a little stress, fatigue and all that, but with the supplement I took , it has encouraged me to do this interview.
I will be very happy if people can get to understand that government cannot do everything for us and that we shouldn’t be expecting too much from people; we should expect much from ourselves and be ready to give.
If you don’t have money to give, you can give your knowledge and information. As we, know information is power and money, but a lot of people don’t know. Some people don’t read, people don’t listen. We need to learn how to be focused, how to sit down and listen to one another.
You listen and go home and think about what you have learned. You analyse it, make inquiries and not just judge any business that has come your way, because you can never tell, it might be a breakthrough for you, for your family and society at large.

Can people sell the products?
We don’t sell products, but we have products, after you get connected to the business. For instance, I am in the business, I invite you to the business, you like what you heard, you pick a package and make payment for the package of your choice. Then you are given products worth the package.
It is a one-time purchase, except after using the products you like to resell. If you are that kind of person that likes your package, because different packages have different products in them. The package you choose will determine the package you get. When you use them and you like them, you can re order.
The re-ordering of the products is not compulsory; it is only for people who have finished their products and want to make use of the products again. They have a different session for that, but that is not the priority of the company.
The priority of the company is to raise a financially free people who will in turn raise other financially free people, who will collectively use their resources and affect the world positively. You are going to make use of the money you are making from the company to affect the world positively.
What are the benefits of joining the business?
There are so many benefits you can derive from the business. Even our former President Olusegun Obasanjo is in this business; he is a member and he is an active member. He is a man that knows the importance of leverage; he is a very smart person.
If you remember when MTN came to Nigeria, they offered him a large sum of money, but he said no, that he will rather have one naira on each recharge. Imagine a country of over 100milion people, where at least 50 million have MTN lines. Imagine if just 20 million people recharging their cards out of the 50 million everyday, how much has the former President made? Is he not a smart entrepreneur? That is the power of leverage.
In multi-level marketing, which is network marketing, leverage is the key residual income. You don’t need an office, you don’t need to rent a shop, you can do this business right from the corridor of your room.
You can even be in your toilet and be doing your business. All you need is your phone, positive mindset, a book and a pen. You do not think of a huge capital to start the business or to turn around my business, you have rest of mind. That something tangible is coming into your account every month.
I am also happy because I am also impacting on other peoples lives positively. If I tell you about the business and you are not taking action, I always shake my head, because people do not understand the power of leverage. I will like every one of us to check the meaning of leverage and see what we are missing in a business that gives us the freedom to leverage.
Network marketing is a 21 Century kind of business that is giving us the real values and money right now. If you are not earning from a networking company, you are not making money at all, because if you don’t know the meaning of leverage, you will know it when you start earning money on other peoples efforts and on your efforts too.
But when you are not making money from any leverage business, you have not started making money, because it means that you want to work until you die. But when you are leveraging on a particular business, you are preparing for your future retirement, because when you build a wonderful system for yourself and your team, you will earn money while you are even sleeping. That is leverage for you.
You earn money while you are still sleeping or when people are running to work. You can earn money while you are sleeping at home or travelling all over the world. But for most traditional businesses, if you don’t go to office, you cannot earn money. If you don’t go to the company, you cannot earn money.
Our company gives you an opportunity to be your own CEO. You can imagine being your own CEO and all you have to do is just follow the structure of the company. But you can wake up anytime, do it at your own convenience or as a full-time, part-time and at a spare time.
We have three categories under which you can do this business with us. It is a very stress free business, unlike you working for someone with timeline.
We have cell meeting everyday, which is where we get to be trained and we received a lot of values from our foreign mentors and coaches, who give us a lot of values. In fact, the business will make you to be a positive thinker and be able to associate with people and also realise why some people react the way they react.
Before, if you are a kind of nagging person, this business makes you to understand the character of human beings through our mentorship programmes. You don’t need to have issues with anybody; all you need to do is just calm down, understand the business and you will be fine.
Come to the business, get connected to the business, connect your neighbour to the business, invite your friends. Most of us have at least nothing less than 100 contacts on our phones. I ask people, ‘all those contacts that you have are they meant for decoration?’ If you are not making money from all those contacts, I think you should delete them.
Which category would you say people should start with?
If you have the financial capacity, as I said, this business is for the rich, the poor, the average, the common man/woman. The business is for everybody.
You can even buy account for your children and your children can inherit your own account that you buy. So, indirectly when you join this business, you have given your children a future financial breakthrough.
When I joined the business, I started with the one of N50,000, because as at then, that was what I had. In fact, I had N10,000 and borrowed money to top it up and joined immediately. I always believe that opportunity comes but once and we don’t know the one that will be good for us. That is why we need to look at opportunities when we get them, not just keeping quiet or ignoring whatever we heard, because you can never tell which one is going to be a financial breakthrough for us.
I joined the business because I didn’t want to miss this opportunity. I loved what I heard; I have heard a lot of success stories. There is a man called Ambassador Temitope, who is less than 30 years old and paying school fees for over 50 students. A man that is not married and yet paying school fees for over 50 children. You can imagine if we can have up to 100 Temitopes in our system or in a local government or in a state, the impact it will make to our society.
Then we have the likes of other leaders who bought transformers, tarred the roads and did so many things for their villages, built houses for widowers/widows and bought clothes for them. If we have more of these people, society will be comfortable and peaceful for us all.
Poverty is a bastard, it doesn’t give you an edge in society. When you know you want to become somebody, you need a financial breakthrough. If you want to be important in society, you need to make positive impacts. Having a financial freedom will help you to make good positive impact in your society.
You are not buying the product from me; you are buying the products from the company and you are to use them. You are not to hawk the products; you are supposed to use them to maintain your health.
This company is all about health and wealth. The health part of it is the health products they are giving you. The company is the one that is selling, not we the connectors.
How do you make your money from the business?
I make my money from the business through commission being paid to us. We earn in six different ways: We earn referral bonuses by you connecting somebody to the company, by you creating awareness for the company for people to know about it.
While you are doing that, remember the company is using a network marketing system for promoting their products. But because network marketing is a system whereby a company produces products or have services they render to their final consumers, they pass the products to the final consumers without the use of the middle men, like the wholesalers, retailers, sales reps and the likes. In network marketing, it is straight from the producers to the consumers.
As a connector, you use the products and share it to other people to use to create awareness about the products. You know most companies do advertisement in the radio, television and all sorts of things, but in network marketing, a company that is making use of the system does not do all that.
The money that is supposed to be used for the advertisement is being paid to the connectors.
How old is the business in Nigeria?
The business is over 10 years old. The parent company is from Philippines and is called Alliance Motion, but our Nigeria group is called C21FG, because we bring people joy, happiness and freedom to their finances.
What is your advice for starters?
My advice for starters is that after hearing about this opportunity, get started, because you can have the benefit of first come advantage.
You can imagine, we are making use of network marketing structure and for instance, if I register today and encourage five people to register the next day, of the first two that registered, one will be kept on my left, the other on my right. The system helps us to do that as far as we have our reservation codes to register them. That is part of the structure.
The world is digital. A lot of people will complain I don’t know how to talk to people, but you don’t need to talk too much, as the business has a laid down structure. It has things that you can make use of.
We have business presentation right now. Guess what? You can invite your guests to attend via Zoom to understand what the meeting is all about. They can even make payments because the presenter is going to give them the company’s account details. You are not to pay to anybody; you are only to pay to company’s account number. After that, you immediately gets started.
So, it is a wonderful business and you can be in Abuja or Akure attending meeting together. We even have a lot of members in United States (US) and United Kingdom (UK). Despite that we still have the Japa syndrome, people travel abroad for greener pastures without them knowing that even the greener pastures is here. It is only when they open their ears and their hearts with a positive mindset that they will understand it.
I will like everybody to know that we are the products of the choices that we make. When we are younger, we look like the products of the choices of our parents, but when we get older, we look like the products of the choices we have made as adults.
Everybody should take charge of their own prosperity. Don’t depend on anybody to make you prosper, depend on God and your hardwork. Put God first, even if it will take you to fast, fast and pray while you are doing your business, because business is spiritual and if you don’t go spiritual about it, it might not be so easy.
But don’t just pray, do something also; money will not fly into your account. You do the work and pray and you can get paid and you will be happy and can also impact on others. Take hold of your own prosperity and do it today, not tomorrow.
