Buhari Sacks Dikio, Appoints Ndiomu Amnesty Programme’s Interim administrator
PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Maj-Gen. Barry Tariye Ndiomu (rtd) as Interim Administrator of the Amnesty Programme.
Ndiomu takes Col. Milland Dikio (rtd).
Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, who announced the new appointment in a press statement on Thursday evening, gave no reason for Dikio’s sack.
Ndiomu, who hails from Odoni in Sagbama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, was admitted to the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna as part of the 29th Regular Combatant Course.
He was commissioned Second Lieutenant in 1983 and held several command and staff appointments in the course of his military career until he retired in December 2017.
Ndiomu is also a lawyer and is an alumnus of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Plateau State; Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON) in Badagry, Lagos State; Harvard Kennedy School and George C Marshall Centre for European Security Studies, United States (US), among others.
