ARMED bandits were reported to have attacked Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State in the early hours of Tuesday, April 2, and abducted some Muslim worshippers observing midnight prayers in a mosque.
A security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama, in a post on his X handle, said the terrorists stormed the town around 2am.
Makama wrote: “In the early morning of Tuesday, about 0200hr, bandits sneaked into Gusau Town and abducted several worshippers in a Mosque while they were observing tahajjud (midnight) prayers.”
The report was yet to be confirmed by the Police and state government.
