THE Nigerian Army has released general instructions and guidelines on ongoing regular recruit intake applications.
According to the instructions, candidates are to note that there would be no pre-selection Computer Based Test (CBT); no special center for recruitment; no zonal screening exercise, as all screening of potential recruits would be conducted at the candidates’ respective state of origin.
Candidates were advised not to bring electronic or recording devices to the venue of the state recruitment exercise; must not have any bodily inscriptions or tattoos; must tender all original copies of educational certificates (primary to secondary); must not belong to any cult/society/fraternity and any candidate who falsifies or forges his/her results and is discovered even during training at Nigerian Army Depot would be withdrawn from training.
Also, candidates were advised in their own interest not to give any form of gratification or inducement to any person or group of persons to assist them in the recruitment exercise; to come with their NIN slip and to carefully study the instructions on the website or call the following support lines if in doubt: 07036499094 and 09041116433.
The statement said names of shortlisted candidates for screening would be published on the Nigerian Army website for the awareness of all candidates, while shortlisted candidates would be expected to report to their respective states of origin for the screening exercise from June 20 to July 3, 2024.
Applicants with ability to swim would have added advantage, while recruitment into the Nigerian Army is free.
In addition, candidates were advised to come to the screening centre with warm clothing (cardigan, head warmer, hand glove and blanket).
