Again, Kwankwaso Denies Plans To Join APC, Says Remains Loyal To NNPP

Published:

FORMER governor of Kano State and national leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has dismissed rumours that he has submitted a letter of intent to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), insisting the story was nothing, but a baseless fabrication intended to mislead the public and cause unnecessary tension.
Kwankwaso, speaking through his media team, described the report, which gained traction earlier in the week, as false and mischievous, saying he remained committed to the NNPP, a party he helped to grow into a formidable force.
The former Defence minister dismissed the rumour, noting that those spreading it only want to create distractions and confusion among his followers, some of who had expressed worry that such a move could weaken the NNPP.
