Tinubu Returns From Japan, Brazil Trips

PRESIDENT Bola Tinubu, on Thursday, August 28, returned to Abuja from his official trips to Japan and Brazil.
A statement by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, said the presidential jet, which took off from Brasília International Airport Air Force Base at 12:57 pm (local time) on Wednesday, touched down in Abuja early morning on Thursday.
Recall that the President attended the opening ceremony and plenary of the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) on August 20 in Japan and also held bilateral meetings, rounding off with an interactive session with members of the Nigerian community in that country.
At the conclusion of TICAD 9, the President departed Yokohama for a stopover in Los Angeles, United States (US) before proceeding to Brasília, where he met with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and senior Brazilian officials.
‎ ‎The two leaders held private discussions and witnessed the signing of five Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) in aviation, foreign affairs, science and technology, and agriculture.

Tinubu was welcomed on arrival in Abuja by a host of dignitaries and senior government officials.
