DELTA State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has stated that former governor, Chief James Ibori, would be warmly welcomed into the All Progressives Congress (APC) if he decides to join.
Oborevwori, who formally defected to the APC, alongside his predecessor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, and the entire state PDP structure on Monday, April 28, urged Ibori, who had been romancing with APC since the last general elections, to formally join the party.
Speaking during a vigil Mass in honour of a former deputy governor of the state, Professor Amos Utuama, at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Otu-Jeremi, in Ughelli South Local Council, Oborevwori stressed the need for unity among the Urhobo political class, adding: “We will welcome former governor, Chief James Ibori, to our party, the APC.”
