TWO operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have been reportedly arrested for shooting and killing a 19-year-old woman, Patience Samuel, in the Jaba Quarters of Kano about 10:55 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5.
The suspects were identified as 23-year-old Nass Ridwan Usman and 26-year-old Ismaila Yakubu, both attached to the Kano State office of NDLEA.
According to security analyst, Zagazola Makama, who disclosed on his X handle, a police team responded to the incident, evacuating the victim to Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital, where she was confirmed dead.
Items recovered from the officers include their operational motorcycle, one live round of ammunition, four empty 7.62×51mm ammunition shells and two knives.
While confirming the arrest on Thursday, the state Police Command spokesperson, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said investigation had commenced and the suspects had been transferred to the Command’s Criminal Investigation Department.
