PRESIDENT Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Brig-Gen. Kunle Nafiu as the new Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
Until his appointment, Nafiu was the Chief of Staff to the Chief of Army Staff, Lt-Gen. Olufemi Oluyede.
He had previously served in the same capacity with Oluyede’s predecessor, the late Lt-Gen. Rasheed Abiodun Lagbaja.
A member of 47 Regular Course, Nafiu, an Artillery Officer, is a graduate of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College and the U.S. Army War College and had also served as a Directing Staff at Nigeria’s Army War College.
Nafiu, who hails from Ileogbo in Aiyedire Local Council of Osun State, replaces Brig-Gen. Yushau Ahmed.
