*Tiwa Savage Unveils Forgiveness Snippet, To Release First Major Single Of Year 

*Davido Combines With Darkoo For Exciting New Right Now

NIGERIAN musician, Wizkid, has released his much-anticipated  single, Piece of My Heart, featuring American singer-songwriter, Brent Faiyaz.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the soul-stirring track is the lead single from Wizkid’s upcoming album, Morayo, which is set to drop on November 22.

The award-winning artist had earlier announced the release of the single on his Instagram page before dropping it for curious fans.

Piece of My Heart, a scintillating collaboration, showcases the perfect blend of Wizkid’s Afrobeats sound with Faiyaz’s R&B flair.

The track, produced by P2J and Dpat, features smooth and heartfelt lyrics that convey unshakable love, passion and devotion.

Faiyaz delivers emotional chorus, Nothing can tear us apart, you’ve got a piece of my heart, while Wizkid’s compelling vocal style add depth to the emotional message.

Wizkid, who has not released song for some while, has only been featured on a couple of collaborations this year, including MMS with Asake, on his third album, Lungu Boy and Work Me Out with Shenseea on her sophomore album, Never Gets Late Here.

However, the Piece of My Heart collabo is already generating buzz among music lovers, especially among Wizkid fans, as it sets the tone for what is to come from the album, Morayo.

On her part, superstar, Tiwa Savage, is all set to drop Forgiveness on Friday, October 18.

On the singer’s Instagram page, a short video was posted, showing her dancing to the record. The caption confirmed the release date and urged listeners to excitedly anticipate the single, saying: “Oct 18th #ForGiveness Weekend wey go sweet, na from Thursday we go know.”

Before unveiling the release date and an official snippet, the teaser for the record was posted on the Afrobeats singer’s page on October 7.

In May, the award-winning singer, songwriter released the soundtrack album for her debut feature film, Water & Garri. The album featured guest appearances from some of the industry’s finest, including Grammy nominees, Olamide and Ayra Starr.

The music video for Commona, featuring Olamide and Mystro Sugar, was released in July. Directed by Jyde Ajala, it also had scenes from the prime original film.

Last month, the singer released the music video for One Heart (Can Change The World), written by award-winning songwriter, Diane Warren, as the official soundtrack for the animated film, Ozi: Voice of The Forest.

Savage was also featured as a guest artist on Simi’s Men Are Crazy, which was released as the second single off the album, Lost and Found. 

The music video, released in April, was shot and directed by Pink.

Meanwhile, another music superstar, Davido, has teamed up with fast-rising British-Nigerian singer, Darkoo, for a captivating sensual record.

The song, released on October 11, is a mid-tempo record that combines R&B melodies with Afrobeats elements for a captivating fusion that sees Darkoo and Davido wear their hearts on their sleeves.

Right Now sees Darkoo continue her fine form, with the song coming off the back of her hit single, Favourite Girl remix, featuring Rema.

For Davido, this marks another collaboration in a year where he had delivered several guest verses, notably among which is BoyPee, Hyce and Brown Joel’s Ogechi remix and more recently, Joy next to the Grammy winner, Angelique Kidjo.

Jamaican star, Rvssian, also brought his unique talent to the track, which is set to be another listener’s favourite.

Rvssian is no stranger to Afrobeats, having previously collaborated with Grammy award-winning singer, Ayra Starr, on his hit single ‘Santa’.

Since breaking into the mainstream, Darkoo has been one of the rising stars in the UK Afrobeats scene. In 2022, she was one of the artists on the remix of Camidoh’s smash hit, Sugarcane. 

She also appeared on the remix of Tion Wayne’s smash hit, Body.

Her latest single would undoubtedly increase fans’ anticipation for her debut album, which is expected to be released in the coming months.
