AHEAD of next year’s governorship election in Anambra State, one of the aspirants under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Paul Chukwuma, has inaugurated his campaign manifesto committee.

Chukwuma used the well-attended colourful event to formally present a 2024 model of Toyota Hiace luxury bus, together with documents and keys to the youth leader of the party in the state, amid cheers by bigwigs and supporters.

Some hours earlier, the aspirant had received thousands of members and supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA); Young Peoples Party (YPP) and Labour Party (LP) into the APC in the state in support of his campaign for the governorship election.

While inaugurating the manifesto drafting/formulating committee, Chukwuma charged members to put in their best to formulate a document that would be a contractual bond between him and citizens of the state, promising to abide by every word of the manifesto and be held accountable to it.

He said: “You are here to kicks-start the redemption of our dear Anambra from its fast eroding glory. I charge you to give the people a document that every citizen can relate to and read through easily, regardless of one’s educational level.”

Chukwuma stated that he does not need 200-point agenda, but short, sole and believable points, with key enablers that would touch all human endeavours in the state.

He disclosed that insecurity, air pollution and uninterrupted power supply would be the main thrust of his administration, if he wins the party’s ticket and gets elected.

The 12-member committee, which is headed by Dr. Tony Onyima, while Barrister C.J. Chinwuba is the Secretary, has 90-days to complete the assignment.
