TERRORISTS on Sunday night, March 17, kidnapped 87 persons after launching a fresh attack on Kajuru-Station community in Kajuru Local Council of Kaduna State.
According to a member of the Kajuru-Station Youths, Harisu Dari, who confirmed the incident, the terrorists stormed the village around 10 pm, broke into some shops and stole food items and other valuables.
The attack came barely two days after 15 women and a man were abducted in the Dogon-Noma community in the same council.
Kajuru and Chikun Local Councils had in the past two weeks become the hotbed of kidnapping, causing tension in the state.
Dari disclosed that no contact had been established yet with the 87 abducted locals, adding: “As of the time I visited the community this morning, security operatives have not been drafted to help restore the confidence of the villagers.
“The villagers are traumatised by the sad development. The government needs to re-strategise in tackling these terrorists.”
Recall that terrorists, in the early hours of Saturday, March 16, attacked Dogon-noma community in Kajuru Local Council and abducted 15 women and a man, barely three days after one person was killed and eight women were kidnapped in the Banono Angwaku community of the same council.
