*When Chibok Happened, They Blamed Jonathan, Now They Blame Me, Says Makinde

A SECURITY expert and former operative of the Department of State Services (DSS), Seyi Adetayo, has explained how security operative made headway in the Friday, July 10, rescue of the 46 abducted Oyo State teachers and students.

Adetayo disclosed that security forces relied on intelligence, tracked the kidnappers’ network, cut off their supplies and escape routes, and gradually forced the pupils and teachers rescue after 56 days in captivity without ransom payment or prisoner exchange.

Speaking on a television programme, Adetayo said: “They identified the kidnappers’ mothers, wives, children and close associates.

“They arrested them, recorded videos and sent them to the abductors…”

Meanwhile, Governor Seyi Makinde has lamented the blame on him and his administration over the attacks and abductions.

The governor, in an interview, said: “When Chibok happened, it was the fault of President Jonathan. They went all over the world and asked Jonathan to bring back the children.

“But when this happened, no, it is the irresponsibility of the state governor and the state government.”
